About Clint Groom
Since 2002, Clint Groom has served as senior design director at American Eagle Outfitters in New York City. In this role, he maintains responsibility for the design of men’s pants, denim, and shorts. One of his accomplishments at American Eagle Outfitters was the creation of the Flex Design concept, which incorporates high-stretch fabric into men’s denim. As the creator of this industry-changing concept, Clint Groom remains actively involved in the design and engineering of the fabric before it becomes a tangible product. Also involved with American Eagle Outfitters’ international partners, Mr. Groom regularly travels to Asia to collaborate with cross-functional partners and help them achieve the aesthetic he aims for in the company’s menswear. Clint Groom prepared for his career by earning a bachelor of arts in fashion design from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.
